The Pietra Fitness Chair Training Program was created to meet the growing demand for instructors who have the passion to teach seniors and people with physical limitations. You must be a Certified Pietra Fitness Instructor to go through the Chair Training. The information presented in this training builds on the material learned in P-FIT.
Pre-requisite: Must be a certified Pietra Fitness Instructor for at least 6 mos., and actively teaching classes and participating in the instructor community.
Why chair classes are so important for our aging community, how to help participants build strength and flexibility and to increase their mental and physical well-being, specific chair sequences and classes that meet the limited needs of your participants, how to adapt exercises for a chair that were traditionally done on the floor as well as using a chair for balance and support for standing poses if participants are able, modifications and precautions for common conditions and issues in the aging population, anatomy of aging and how Pietra Fitness can be applied specifically to the health issues many seniors face, and specific skills that will instill confidence and empower you to lead Chair Pietra Fitness to seniors and people with limited mobility
You must be a certified Pietra Fitness Instructor for at least 6 months and actively teaching classes and participating in the instructor community in order to take the Chair Certification.
